Formula Student is an international engineering design event with over 600 teams that compete globally.
Held by the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, it aims to excite and encourage young people to pursue a career in motorsport. The event is judged not only on your Race Car's speed in the Dynamic Events but also on a range of Static Events. To succeed a team must have design and costing justifications, business presentation skills, and strong management and teamwork skills.
It has become an impactful, industry recognised competition, supported by leading companies such as Bosch, Mercedes-AMG, Jaguar Land Rover, MathWorks, McLaren, GKN, AB Dynamics, ANSYS, and many more.

Teams are judged by experienced industry specialists and receive points for competing in the static and dynamic events
